Features

  • Unique 3D foam structure for superior absorption: When in contact with exudate the unique 3D foam structure of Biatain conforms closely to the wound bed – even under compression.

  • Soft and flexible dressing: Biatain Soft-Hold is a soft and flexible dressing that is very comfortable to wear.
  • Mode of action: The unique 3D foam structure absorbs the exudate vertically and locks the fluid away within its structure, still leaving the wound moist for optimal moist wound healing conditions.

More Information

  • Contraindications:
Do not use with oxidising solutions, e.g hydrogen peroxide
  • Biatain Soft-Hold - a third hand at dressing change
A very thin adherent layer keeps the dressing in place when a secondary dressing or compression bandage is applied. Furthermore, due to its soft adherent layer, the dressing stays in place even on awkward body contours and when the patient walks.
  • Wound progress:
After one week of treatment with the improved Biatain Soft-Hold, the wound bed had improved significantly and the ulcer area was reduced by 35%. At the end of week two, the ulcer area was reduced by 68% and the wound bed had improved and now consisted of 15% fibrinous tissue and 85% healthy granulation tissue. There was continuous wound progress during the entire treatment period.
