How to use Elastic Bandage?

Follow the below-given steps to wrap an elastic bandage around the injured area:

  • Hold the elastic bandage in such a way that its start is facing upwards.
  • Take the loose end with one hand and place it on the injured limb.
  • Start wrapping the bandage in a circular motion around the targeted area with the other hand.
  • Make sure that you wrap the elastic bandage from outside to inside.
  • Continue to wrap it in a spiral pattern.
  • Each time you wrap the elastic bandage, overlap it by half of its width.
  • When you reach the end, fasten it to the rest of the bandage with a suitable type of closure.
